Top 3 things to avoid

Top Three Things To Avoid

1. Sites that only accept COD/Money order and Western Union payments: Be warned of any site which only accepts CODs, money orders, Western Union MoneyGram, or wire transfers. Once your money is sent, you won’t get it back if your merchandise is shoddy or if it breaks down. We have had reports of some sites sending just the box/papers with no watch!

2. Bad customer support: Email the particular site in question and see the time it takes for them to respond, most sites will not even send you a reply. Call them to see if you will get a live person instead of dead signal. Our concern is ; if you do not receive the attention to detail before your purchase then what kind of support are you going to receive from that company after the sale if you have any issues regarding your watch.

3. Avoid paying for high quality and receive lower quality or nothing at all: Many dealers lure potential customers with “wholesale” or “discount” prices claiming Swiss Grade 1 quality, but once the cash deal is completed the website ships out an Asian watch or simply nothing at all. Note that Grade 1 watches will never retail below $700.

Always use these 3 tips as the basis of your due dilligence you will see how very easy it is to check off most sites from your list of potential companies to deal with.

This excerpt below is from a New York Times article dated March 18, 2012 in quotes;

“The strongest protections are when you pay by credit card,” says Carole Reynolds, a senior lawyer at the Federal Trade Commission. Under the Truth in Lending Act, consumers’ maximum liability for unauthorized use of their credit card is only $50, and when a card is used online, it’s zero.

For extra protection against having your card number stolen, consider using one-time credit card numbers for online purchases, which you can often set up with your card provider.” Here is a link to the article: http://tinyurl.com/y9hfbvn
